Diminutive, dark-haired, sweet-faced American actress with enviable figure who played one or two 'B' leads early in her career, but soon settled into a journeyman career of supporting roles. Acting since childhood (and a beauty contest winner), she made her debut as Merle Oberon's teenage daughter in This Love of Ours (1945). Later credits include The Devil on Wheels (1947), Kidnapped (1948), Mississippi Rhythm (1949), The Underworld Story (1950), Bomba and the Hidden City (1950), Hell's Outpost (1954), Teen-Age Crime Wave (1955), The Women of Pitcairn Island (1956), Funny Face (1957), The Devil's Hairpin (1957) and Clambake (1967), her last, although her TV credits continue until the mid 1970s. She married actor Larry Stewart, and they remained wed for 42 years until his death in 1997.
