A baffling psychological thriller. You may lose your grip on the plot some time before psychiatrist McGregor loses his grip on reality as he gets enmeshed in the case of a man (Gosling), who may believe himself responsible for the deaths of his parents in a car crash and now threatens to kill himself on Brooklyn Bridge.
Nothing, of course, is quite what it seems, and may well be a figment, or development of one of the characters' imaginations. Don't worry: director Forster and writer David Benioff are not interested in explanations - nullifying any reason you might have to see this film.
