Licence to Wed (DQ)

1/10

Stars: Robin Williams, Mandy Moore, John Krasinski, Peter Strauss, Bob Balaban

Director: Ken Kwapis

Aarghh! Creepy preacher Williams tells soon-to-be-weds Moore and Krasinski that they must undertake a three-week course to see if they are suited, and the soppy pair are fools enough to fall for it.

Williams instals round-the-clock surveillance with the help of a 'malevolent child' helper, forbids sex and takes them on a driving test on which Moore (the driver) is blindfolded. Yeah right. He also gives them disgusting (and ugly) animatronic babies with extremely active bodily functions to give them a taste of family life.

If you haven't reached for the sickbag yet - or, like Krasinski, punched Williams out - you will do before the end of this revolting, truly appalling film. Blatant product placement for Sandals Holidays is the capper.

Williams smirks unctuously and wings it. Moore and Krasinski can only grit their teeth and hope the next item on their CV is better than this one. One star for the movie's one good line which I won't reveal.
