Even when threatened by death, people bobbing about in the water can be quite boring company.
Hans Horn's film - reminiscent of Open Water and based on true events - puts six of 'em into the ocean blue, after four have gone for a swim from their chartered yacht, and the skipper (Dane) has jumped after them carrying terrified-of-water Amy (Pratt), without first lowering the ladder. Doh!
They make a rope from their shorts and swim trunks, but it breaks. And despite the fact that they have only a diving knife in the way of weaponry, one manages to get stabbed to death, while another fractures his skull on the ship's keel. Oh yes, and they bob up and down.
One does a Captain Oates and swims off, another dies from hypothermia. You long for someone to put an end to it but, when the film finally finishes, it's left unclear as to whether anyone's survived or not. Adrift is right.
