Green-eyed blonde American actress with bow lips and prominent cheekbones, latterly to the fore in the suspense and horror genres. She began a long film career in more varied roles: Hi, Mom! (1970), Night of Dark Shadows (1971), Save the Tiger (1973), Airport 1975 (1974), Race With the Devil (1975), The Lazarus Syndrome (1978), Foxfire Light (1983), People Like Us (1990), Dark Shadows (2012), Doctor Mabuse (2013), Doctor Mabuse: Etiopomar (2014) and The Job Interview (2016), her last - plus much work in TV series. Born Mary Lamar Rickey, she died from cancer, survived by her second husband, actor/producer Jimmy Hawkins, and three children.
