Genial, hopeful-looking Aborigine actor who was doing extra work on The Overlanders (1946) when star Chips Rafferty decided he would be perfect for a small role. Later films included Blackout (1970), The Chant of Jimmie Blacksmith (1978), Gallipoli (1981), The Coca-Cola Kid (1985), Ground Zero (1987), A Cry in the Dark (1988), Quigley Down Under (1990), Deadly (1992), The Matrix (1999) and Broken Sun (2010), his last.
