Moray Watson

Born - 25 June 1928, Sunningdale, Berkshire, England
Died - 2 May 2017

Solidly built, rather solemn-looking British supporting actor with slightly receding straight brown hair. He gained a sliver of screen fame stealing scenes from Cary Grant, Robert Mitchum, Deborah Kerr and Jean Simmons as the (fifth-billed) butler in The Grass is Greener (1960), but the bulk of his career was spent on TV and in the theatre. After drama training he was on television from the early 1950s, films a little later: Find the Lady (1956), Hidden Homicide (1958), The Valiant (1962), Operation Crossbow (1965) and Every Home Should Have One (1970). Occasional subsequent appearances include those in The Sea Wolves (1980), Closed Circuit (1989), Run for Your Wife (2012) and the short Ace (2014), his last. He died from pneumonia.
