Kay Morley

Actress

Born - 17 April 1920, Pocatello, Idaho, USA
Died - 17 November 2020

Pretty, 'light brunette' dancer, singer and former Goldwyn Girl with a faraway look in her eyes, a nice distraction in a fistful of breezy films but only ever a star in "B" westerns. Goldwyn and others cast her as decoration in They Got Me Covered (1943), Up in Arms (1944), The Princess and the Pirate (1944), Wonder Man (1945), It's a Pleasure (1945) and The Melting Pot (1946). Freelancing, she headed West and made Code of the Saddle (1947), Six-Gun Serenade (1947), Outlaw Brand (1948), Trails End (1948), Rustlers' Hideout (1949) and Sealed Cargo (1951), her last, although she continued acting on TV until the mid 1950s. Like Judy Garland's character in A Star is Born, she really was born in Pocatello, Idaho (although not in a trunk) with the birth name of Leona DeVinna. She married Hollywood leading man Richard Crane, but he died from a heart attack at 50. A rare Hollywood centenarian.
