May Wynn

Born - 8 January 1928, Newport Beach, California, USA
Died - 22 March 2021

Dark-haired, dark-eyed American actress, a 20th Century-Fox starlet and pin-up of the early 1950s who broke into serious acting after co-starring in Columbia's Oscar-winning The Caine Mutiny and adopting the name of the character she played in that film. After a couple more films for that studio, however, it was back to lesser fare. Born Donna Lee Hickey, and a multiple beauty contest winner, her films included Dreamboat (1952), My Wife's Best Friend (1952), The Girl Next Door (1953), The Farmer Takes a Wife (1953), The Caine Mutiny (1954), They Rode West (1954), Rough Company/The Violent Men (1955), The White Squaw (1956), The Man is Armed (1956), Taming Sutton's Gal (1957), The Unknown Terror (1957) and opposite then-husband Jack Kelly in Hong Kong Affair (1958), her last. She divorced Kelly in 1964, left acting and spent her remaining working years selling real estate.
