Died - 14 January 2011

Baby-faced, husky-voiced star with cropped blonde hair and challneging blue-eyed gaze, often in bold or outspoken roles. Subsequent films included The Greengage Summer (1961), Tom Jones (1963), Kaleidoscope (1966), A Man for All Seasons (1966), The Killing of Sister George (1968), an Oscar nomination for They Shoot Horses, Don't They?(1969), Lock Up Your Daughters!(1969), Images (1972), Gold (1974), Conduct Unbecoming (1975), Superman (1978), The Awakening (1980), Loophole (1981), A Christmas Carol (1984), A Summer Story (1988), A Handful of Time (1989), Loop (1997), Visitors (2003), The Gigolos (2006) and The Calling (2009), her last. She died after a long battle with bone marrow cancer.
